Shrivardhan’s climate is tropical and does not see much change throughout the year as the humid sea breeze keeps the temperature at par.
Summer: Average temperature of 33℃ is experienced in the summers with the weather being hot and humid. April and May are the hottest months with temperatures dropping by June as the rains begin.
Monsoon: The months from June to September mark the rainy season with an average rainfall of 30 cm annually. July sees the peak of rainfall with 50 cm of rain. Weather is cooler in comparison with heavy moisture in the air.
Winter: By the end of October the season of winter commences and thus starts the best time to visit Shrivardhan. Minimum temperatures can linger around 18℃ in the months of December and January, which sees the peak of chill. Mornings during this time are warm and comfortable to take a stroll along the beaches whereas the nights are cold when you may occasionally need warm clothes.

Although Pune has an airport, the Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is more convenient to travel to as all airlines service it. From here you can take a bus or taxi to move further to Shrivardhan.
Roads
Hop on to a state bus or private bus transport that will take you to Shrivardhan from all major cities of the state. The ride is close to 5 hours from Mumbai or Pune. You can also get your own vehicle, which makes it convenient to move around the close by areas.
Railways
Mangaon is the closest railway station on the Konkan railway that is 45kms away from Shrivardhan. A number of trains running from major cities like Mumbai, Madgaon, Ernakulam, and Bikaner halt here. From Mangaon, you will need to hire a taxi or take a bus further to Shrivardhan.

Get blessings from the Goddess Somajal whose temple is very famous in the town as the locals believe the goddess to nullify the effect of venom on snake bite victims. Shri Laxminarayan temple is the main temples of the Peshwas which has 700 years old idol inside the Hoysala architectural style temple. Other temples, which are frequented by worshippers are Kusum devi, Bhairavnath, and Jivaneshwar temples.

Historical

The city finds its name being mentioned in Mahabharta when Arjuna Pandav visited the ancient place of Shrivardhan in his pilgrimage. The town was a trading port during 16th and 17th century which has appeared in the accounts of leading European travellers. It is also the birthplace of Balaji Visvanath, the first Peshwa who was appointed by Chhatrapati Sahu as the Deshmukh of the town. Visit the Peshwa memorial, which is built in his honour in this town of Shrivardhan.
