Dal Lake

Dal Lake, the “gem” of Srinagar, is one the most amazing lakes in India. Owing to its magnificent beauty, Dal Lake is the source of imagination and creation to many poets, writers and film directors.

Pari Mahal is open from 9: 30 Am to 5: 30 Pm on all days of the week round the year and is considered as a school of astrology. The former Buddhist monastery is now a heritage-rich monument and splendid garden. This was primarily an orchard constructed by Dara Shiko, dedicated to Mulla Shah- his Sufi educator.

Mughal Gardens is raised to the eastern flank of Dal Lake and is placed in proximity to Srinagar city. It is additional to the extent to the Shalimar Bagh in the Kashmir Valley and is popular for its stepped patio, stunning fountains and flower plots. This garden is located near Shalimar Bagh, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh and Naseem Bagh. The ideal time to relish the charm of this area and settings is in the months of the spring season.

Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden

One can watch and witness two million tulips spread over 20 acres of the Kashmiri valley at 5600 feet elevation, in the largest Tulip Garden of Asia, popularly known as the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden. Spreading all over the base of the lofty Zabarwan Mountain Range, and overseeing the stunning and the glorious Dal Lake in Srinagar, the tulip garden is one of a fascinating tourist hotspots of Kashmir.  It is only open for three weeks in March from 9 Am to 7 Pm – due to the seasonality of the flower, and the sight is awesome and mesmerising. The assorted colour shades will sweep the feet off and leave every tourist awestruck.
